Institution Overview

Background

The Advanced Tourism International College or better known as ATIC was established in 2006. The core programmes offered are Tourism, Hospitality, Aviation, Business Management, Culinary Arts, English Language and Skill Development. ATIC has been growing rapidly in the past years in an effort to achieve its goal to evolve into a University College. In an effort to achieve this goal, the college has improved its facilities to better cater to the needs of the students. In order to ensure that the quality assurance is not compromised with the steady growth of the student population, the number of college staff has been significantly increased.

The vision of ATIC, is to address the need for qualified personnel in the Tourism and Hospitality industry. With this vision in mind, ATIC soon became a one-stop training college, specialising in the field of tourism and hotel management. The programmes conducted are approved by the Ministry of Tourism and the Ministry of Human Resources in Malaysia. In 2009, ATIC was among the few institutions of higher learning that has been accorded the International College status by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education.

Philosophy
ATIC believes that education is for all regardless of age, race, sex, creed or religion. The college believes in providing quality education for those who want to pursue their higher education and achieve their dreams.

To be the premier and most preferred private college in the Northern Region of Malaysia. ATIC shall be a leading institution of higher learning recognised locally and internationally with a unique identity.

ATIC is committed towards becoming a leading institution of higher learning in the Northern region. The College has the following objectives;

The College

The main campus is located in the heart of Georgetown, Penang at 61, Macalister Lane. The campus is equipped with excellent infrastructure and students can enjoy the fauna and flora of the Penang Island.

The present campus provides a conducive learning environment where students are able to use the state-of–the-art library, computer laboratory, lecture theatre, tutorial room, state-of–the-art kitchen and restaurant and free internet access for the entire campus as well as the students' hostel are installed with free WI-FI services.
